I am so behind on reading your blog. What is wrong with me?

Anyway, might I suggest 7 Leguas Blanco as an alternative to Partida. Not that Partida isn't flipping awesome but 7 Leguas is also got a nice peppery taste to it and might work well too.

It's good. You should make it. I predict love at first sip!

Awesome! I can actually make this right now, since I have all the required ingredients...and not one, but two blancos.

It's destiny.

Oh - we also used Agave Nectar instead of simple syrup which played nicely with the tequila for obvious reasons :)

What makes this drink even more fun is when you know what Sculaccione means in Italian - roughly translated it means a "spank on the ass" - as in the way you would reprimand a child ;)

We tried out this recipe last night as we had a few grapefruit laying around from a recent cocktail get together that had yet to be juiced so this was a perfect excuse to put them to work.

I tried this drink both with Herradura Anejo and Corzo Silver - it was definitely tasty with the Herradura (clearly not a blanco) but the drink took on another life with the Corzo.

My wife, not being much into Tequila or Campari (strange for an Italian), wasn't moved by the drink so I added a few Luxardo Marasca cherries to sweeten the deal ;) Not the same but a nice fun way to finish the drink.
