Hey 2008, don’t let the doorknob hit you on the way out.

2008 was quite the year around here. A trip to Tales of the Cocktail, some really awesome growth in the Los Angeles cocktail community (like judging a cocktail competition with Chuck <3), some distillery tours, the unionization of cocktail bloggers in the Tales Blog and Mixoloseum—not a year to sneeze at, for sure.
And while it was a banner year for Sloshed!, 2008 was also great for cocktails in general. Every week there is news about a new classic cocktail bar or menu, a formerly extinct or unavailable ingredient coming to market, or an out-of-print cocktail tome being reprinted. It appears that we are well into a modern cocktail renaissance that could actually reach beyond the scenes in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle and Portland. And, of course, beyond the cocktail-o-sphere. Look out world: 2009 is the year we’re going to nerdify your liquor cabinets.
To say a proper goodbye to a perfectly fantastic 2008, here are last year’s ten most popular Sloshed! posts from the, uh, bottom(s) up:

10. Tiki Puka Puka

9. Blue Moon

6. Violet Fizz

1. Limonada
