Purple Hooter

I felt honor bound to try this based solely on its name. The Purple Hooter is just too good to pass up.
I was looking for a cocktail to make for my roommate—a vodka enthusiast—when I stumbled upon this little sweetie. Though the recipe called for citrus vodka, I had to substitute with raspberry (as the blackcurrant and citrus vodkas have runneth dry for now). I don’t think it harmed the flavor too much, though I will definitely be trying this again when flavored vodkas return to the fold.
1 oz citrus vodka
1/2 oz triple sec
1/2 oz ChambordShake all ingredients and strain into a shot glass.
A word of warning: I used a 2-ounce glass to pour this shot into and we still wound up with three rounds worth of drinks. I don’t know what happened to the alcohol once it was mixed, but I think it multiplied. I’m sure the melted ice from the shaker played a role, but this recipe makes quite a bit of beverage.
